Peter Rothstein’s musical, All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914, is based on real-life events during World War I. Remarkably, soldiers from France, England, and Germany called a battlefield truce on Christmas Day for a single night of camaraderie, music, and peace before both sides returned to fighting in the morning.
