Americana Concert

Opera Modesto presents a celebration of song in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary; music by all-American composers including Gershwin, Copland, Bernstein and many more. It will conclude with a moving finale of “America the Beautiful” performed by all the combined choruses.

The concert, led by Opera Modesto Chorus Director Tiffany Baxter, will feature Opera Modesto’s Chorus and Children’s Chorus, plus guest appearances by the Gregori High School Choir, Central Valley Youth Chorus, Center Stage Kids, Modesto Junior College Chamber Singers and the CSU Stanislaus Opera & Voice Department. In addition the concert will feature three soloists; Sheri Stambaugh, Ashley Dahlin and Gregory Pyatt.
