The purpose of the free conference is to expose high school students to higher education through a variety of occupations, and to motivate the youth to aspire to a successful academic life and career preparation. MJC students are also encouraged to attend.

The morning program features a panel of student government officers from the Associated Students of Modesto Junior College (ASMJC), including Cindy Lopez, Erika Franco, Janet Patino, Lizette Ibarra and Alexis Zaragoza. Jairo Diaz Predaza from Univision is the moderator for the student panel.
