Take a day trip to Yosemite National Park, just 90 miles from downtown Modesto. If you don’t want to travel, relax and shop at Central California’s largest indoor shopping mall at Vintage Faire Mall in North Modesto.

      • Put in your headphones and listen to artists discuss their works while walking the Mural Tour of Downtown
      • Take the Ag Tour of the region while stopping at Farm Stands, Oakdale Cheese (for the #1 Gouda in the US), Olive Oil tastings at Sciatica’s (the oldest operating olive oil producer in the US!) and stop in Knights Ferry to walk across the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi and even stop at Roberts Ferry Nut Company for an Almond Butter Milkshake.
      • If you are here in February or March you can take the Almond Blossom Cruise with a narrated audio tour including interviews with almond growers, ranchers, cheese makers and more. All this while driving though hundreds of thousands of acres of white and pink blossoms with the snow-covered Sierra’s as the backdrop.
  • Enjoy live theater at the Prospect Theater Project an intimate theater showcasing thoughtful works by famous playwrights.

  • Take in an experience at The Gallo Center for the Arts. Tony Bennet opened the facility, John Legend started a tour here, the Jersey Boys wowed audiences and Cats had an extended run in 2022. There’s comedy like Paul Riser and Fluffy Iglesias as well as music from Bonnie Rait, Keb Mo and even ZZ Top!

  • Enjoy a group dinner outdoors just about every day of the year at any one of Modesto’s dozens of restaurants. From fine cuisine to pizza and from Thai Food to BBQ.

  • Take a day trip to Yosemite National Park, just 90 miles from downtown Modesto, there is no finer experience of the magic nature provides us year-round and finish your day back in Modesto for a group dinner at Camp 4, named after the Half Dome base camp for climbers, operated by Damon Robbins, son of the famous climber Royal Robbins.

  • Relax and shop at Central California’s largest indoor shopping mall at Vintage Faire Mall in North Modesto. Over 100 shops and restaurants to enjoy in delightful air conditioning and grab a group meal at Dave and Busters in the mall where your group can play team games and challenge each other while having fun!

  • In mid 2023 groups will be able to tour the Graffiti USA Museum founded by members of the Faros. George Lucas is a Modesto native and wrote his biopic American Graffiti about his high school experiences here and his next-door neighbor was a founder of the Faros and why American Graffiti really has its roots right here in Modesto.
