Now organized by the Modesto Kiwanis Club, Modesto has celebrated July 4th annually since 1874 with a downtown parade. The Independence Day parade begins downtown at 9:30 a.m. on the 4th of July.

Following the parade the All American Festival, held in the 10th Street Plaza, features Kids Activities, Live Music, Food and Crafts from 11-3.
