TIME: 2PM
LOCATION: Prospect Theater Project, 1214 K St, Modesto
Join us for a reading, book signing, music performance, and refreshments!
The Book Launch Celebration features a collaborative performance of music by local professionals Anne Martin, Alison Peltier, Jana Hunn, Hauk Graham, and Peter Grimaldi in response to select poems from The Ghosts of 16 Larkin Street, published by The Word Works. This artistic presentation will enable guests to enjoy a memorable, unique synthesis of instrumental music and poetry.
Prior to the collaborative performance, Dr. Mai-Linh Hong, scholar and UC Merced professor of literature, will read from her award-winning debut poetry collection Continental Drift. Refreshments, live pre- and post-show music, a Q & A, and book signing are all components of the book launch celebration on Sunday, October 25th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Prospect Theater Project, 1214 K Street, Modesto.
Free parking is available in the lot across the street from the theater.
