MoBand Crab Feed
Eat crab and support the sounds of MoBand
MoBand hosts fourth crab feed on March 21
Polish up your crab-eating tools and join the Modesto Band of Stanislaus County (MoBand) for its fourth annual crab feed on March 21, 2026. The crab feed will be held at the O’Hare Hall at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Road in Modesto. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available earlier to give MoBand fans more time to purchase as last year’s event sold out. Reserved tables are also available.
Single tickets are $85 per person and reserved tables for eight are available for $1,000. For more information or to purchase tickets securely online visit https://www.moband.org/, or call MoBand’s treasurer at (209) 480-0409.
The crab feed is MoBand’s main fundraiser for its annual summer concerts held in Mancini Bowl at Modesto’s Graceada Park. Over the six-concert season, thousands of family, friends and neighbors gather under the trees to enjoy picnics and the music played by some 100 volunteer musicians. The park is filled with sounds from classic symphonies to modern musical selections, and, of course, Sousa marches. The 2026 summer season begins June 4.
Keeping the sounds of Modesto’s musical treasure requires community support. The crab feed is one way to support MoBand and keep the music playing. The evening includes a no-host bar, silent and live auction, an online silent auction and live music by Imaginary Friends.
Conductor Brad Hart and Assistant Conductor/Band Manager William Melendez continue in their respective roles and are already preparing for the 2026 season. With the efforts of Hart and Melendez, the 2025 season included the addition of new music and saw an increase in volunteer musicians, especially high-school aged musicians.
