Modesto Day of the Dead Celebration

The City of Modesto’s McHenry Museum invites you to honor your loved ones by building a personal altar (ofrenda) as part of our Día de los Muertos community celebration.

This year our event is entirely outdoors on I and 15th Streets. There are two ways to participate:
1) Classic Cars/Lowriders are invited to build ofrendas in their trunks or truck beds;
2) Community members may sign up for a spot to build a traditional ofrenda from the ground up.

All set up and break down will take place on October 4th before and after the event.

Please note: Completing this form does not guarantee an altar space. Staff will contact you directly to confirm whether a spot has been secured. Full participation details will be provided to those who are confirmed.
