Songs of the Valley - Opera Modesto

Songs of the Valley – Opera Modesto

September 27 at 2:00pm – Great Valley Museum

Songs of the Valley is a collaboration concert between Opera Modesto and the Great Valley Museum – inspired by the Museum’s wonderful collection, where the concert will be performed!

Opera Modesto’s Collaborative Pianist, Diego Bustamante, is a serious “Birder”, so audiences should be prepared for great bird related selections. Opera Modesto’s favorite Harpist, Matthew Verona, will perform amazing solo selections inspired by butterflies and bees. A roster of wonderful singers will collaborate on delightful songs inspired by animals (felines, perhaps?!), monsters (dinosaurs, perhaps?!), insects (fleas..maybe cockroaches?!), birds, flowers, trees and more! Will there be classic pop, mariachi, jazz, musical theater selections, too?! Anything is possible for a concert like this!

Audience members will also be able to enjoy a gallery of nature themed artwork created by Modesto Junior College in the lobby prior to the performance.

VIP ticket holders will enjoy a reception with wine and small bites prior to the performance starting at 1:15, a private “Birds of the Valley” talk hosted by Opera Modesto’s resident birder and collaborative pianist Diego Bustamante, and priority seating.
