28th Fireworks Celebration at Woodward Reservoir

28th Fireworks Celebration at Woodward Reservoir

Modesto, CA –The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors is hosting the 28th Annual Fireworks Celebration at Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale on Saturday, June 29, 2024. The fireworks display starts at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will last approximately 20 minutes. Cost per vehicle for a Day-Use ticket is $30. Day-Use ends at 10:00 p.m.

Pre-sale for the Day-Use tickets are available at https://www.stancountyparks.com/fireworks. This pre-sale ticket guarantees entry into the park for the Fireworks Celebration, even if the park is closed due to reaching capacity. This event does sell out. The pre-sale Day-Use ticket is a single use per vehicle ticket redeemable at the entrance. The park will close when it reaches capacity for the safety of our visitors and staff, entrance will still be allowed for those with a pre-sale Day-Use ticket. There are no in and out privileges on the day of the event. Walk-ins will not be allowed (for safety) and parking around the perimeter of the park will also not be allowed and is strictly enforced by CHP and Sheriff.

Camping is available for reservation online at https://www.stancountyparks.com/woodward-reservoir.  Woodward Reservoir has updated its campsite structure to offer more reservable campsites. Now available for reservation is the General Campsite for $50 per night that contains a picnic table and fire pit and the RV/Trailer Hookup Campsite for $60 per night which has at least one of the following: water, electrical and/or sewer. The Basic Campsite is not reservable online and is available first come first serve for $40 per night.

This year additional food vendors will be on site to offer more options to our patrons including The Rock Pizza Oven (pizza), Gorditas Delia (tacos & quesadillas), and Yogurt Mill (frozen yogurt). Cresent Supply also hosts the General Store in the marina and the Outdoor Store on Mountain View Point which offers icy cold treats, hot dogs, nachos and other snacks and beverages. You can also pick up the necessities such as ice, water, firewood, shade hats, sunscreen and water toys.

On such a busy weekend it is great to remember that there are loaner life jackets available for use for FREE at the marina. These life jackets are made available through a grant from the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways. No matter how old you are or how strong of a swimmer you are – it is important to have a life jacket on for all water activities.

Road closures will start at 6am. The closures are at Dodds Rd., Hinds Rd., Dorsey Rd. and Eastman Rd. Closures will be lifted after the Fireworks Celebration show is over.
