The Bluesbox Bayou Band at Gallo

The Bluesbox Bayou Band, will be celebrating their twenty-fifth year of live music! Their soulful, inspirational, and upbeat sound has become well known. Traveling out from Central California, fans from the Bay Area, and all over California have come to love this unlikely 5-piece roots band from the heartland of the state. Playing live music on the open highway since the late 90’s their playlist is a highly infectious and exciting presentation of unique shout outs to New Orleans, Cajun, Creole, Americana, rhythm and blues, and Tex-Mex styles.

They have performed at such featured events as the Louisiana Swamp Thing Festival, Austin TX, the Long Beach Crawfish Festival, Napa Valley’s Beringer Vineyards, Yolo County’s Crawfish & Catfish Festival, and Six Flags Vallejo Cajun Days, and all sizes of community concerts and public events for general audiences. Regular players at the Ashkenaz Music & Dance Hall, Berkeley CA, and Black Oak Casino, Tuolumne City, CA, the Bluesbox Bayou Band’s style of Americana is sure to get your tired spirit up!

Achieving a Great American Song Award for ‘Family Bayou’, Pete Grimaldi formed the Bluesbox Bayou Band in 1997   with few transformations since then. Current lineup includes the talents of Julie Johnson on bass, Frank Grimaldi on guitars, Debi Krilanovich on Rub board, Michael Farris on drums, and now featuring Michael “Bo Fiddley” Ray on fiddle.
