Oakdale

SONS Farm Fresh – Stop in for some fresh fruit & snacks on the way towards Knights Ferry. There’s plenty to choose from, and the staff is always there to make recommendations. This farm stand was started in recent years by 4 siblings whose names all end in “son”.

Orange Blossom Road – Cruise the amazing views of overhanging Oak trees along the Stanislaus River. Drive safe and slow, as the roads are windy and there’s lots of sharp turns & wildlife around.

Knights Ferry – Take a hike, or wade in the river to cool off, while exploring this historic sight. There’s plenty of parking, picnic benches, and room to explore, plus you can see the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi!

Frozen Treats – If it’s a hot day, on your way back into town, I recommend stopping at Yogurt Mill for a soft serve fro-yo. This is a local staple, with 4 locations in the county and rotating flavors that change daily.

Head back into town for some R&R!

Dinner at Camp 4 – Enjoy a meal at a restaurant that pays homage to Yosemite, the climbing community, and family time well spent. This wine café has much to offer, along with indoor and outdoor seating.

Robert’s Ferry/Waterford – Take the scenic route by driving through the farmlands and along the river. Roll the windows down and take in the fresh air.

Roberts Ferry Lavender FarmPhoto Opportunity – If you’re trying to get the perfect Instagram moment in a lavender farm, this is the place for you. At Roberts Ferry Lavender Farm, you can book the field by the hour to take photos and/or Videos.

Robert’s Ferry Gourmet – Stop in for their famous Almond Butter Milkshake or hang out and enjoy some wine or beer. While you’re there, make sure you get some of their amazing popcorn to-go!

Dinner at The Fruit Yard – The Fruit Yard restaurant is like stepping back in time in the best way possible. All the décor and wood make you feel the homely country vibes. The food is phenomenal, especially the BBQ. They even have a gas station and country store next-door so you can fuel up and get any last-minute travel essentials on your way out.

This family owned and operated milk company makes you feel like one of their own and is here to delight locals and visitors alike.
