Ten seasons ago, the Gallo Center for the Arts and Prospect Theatre Project collaborated on a presentation of this brilliant adaption of Harper Lee’s masterpiece, To Kill a Mockingbird. It was a resounding success story. Every performer was wonderful. Every performance sold out. The production helped inspire the creation of the Gallo Center Repertory Company, as well as the founding of the San Joaquin Valley’s only African American theatre organization, Sankofa Theatre Company. Now, in honor of the retirement of artistic director Dr. Jim Johnson following the 2022/23 season, as well as the 10th anniversary of the production, GCRC is thrilled to present this reprise of To Kill a Mockingbird.
